 I can totally relate to the cultural pressures that are put on south asian kids. I know that when I was growing up, if I even spoke too loud my family would give me a look because they always tried to reinforce the idea that i “represent the whole parivar (family)” which got pretty annoying. It wasn’t until I moved away that I realized that it’s honestly not about them. It’s about me and what I want in life and how I want to represent myself. 

Granted…I’m still figuring out who that person is…because as we know..this whole conversation began when we agreed that we don’t like the thought of people we respect judging us.  Hopefully  though..we’ll get there and one day be able to ask Himanshu a question off anon. Because that is the only end goal in life. LOLz
I hope that wasn’t a load of (SWEAR WORD) .    :)
